S.V. Gratitude: Ready to go!
SailBlogs &bull Dec 16, 2011
Finally, we are under way! This year was one for several upgrades to Gratitude: new, beefier batteries; solar panels to be less dependent on the diesel generator (not to mention "greener"); a second compressor for the refrigerator, dedicating the one installed last year to the freezer; and a new inverter/charger to replace the old one that went kaput last year and with more charging capacity when connected to shore current or on the generator. Living the Dream: St. Augustine
SailBlogs &bull Dec 16, 2011
DAY 10 - December 15th 2011 - St. We like St. Augustine so we decided to stay another day and do more sightseeing. Doug did some work on the gib while I worked below and then the marina came over and pumped us out, what service all for $22.00. We left the boat about noon and spent the afternoon touring around on the trolley bus and getting off at different spots. We even ended up in jail, watched muskets and canons being fired. Checked out some museums, ate… Full Story »
